Ferris Bueller's Day Off (Movie Review) - Nicole Jacinto

How 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' Became One of the Best High School Films Ever - ABC News

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: (Movie Review)

In this film from 1986, Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) plays a witty senior in high school who has plans to cut classes for one day, and get away with it. Ferris, his best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck) and Sloane (Mia Sara) 'borrow' a Ferrari, and promise to have the most fun day in the city of Chicago, but principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) is determined to catch Ferris on his day off.

This classic movie is liked by many Americans because of it's comedic aspect, as well as the iconic characters. My favorite part about this movie was being able to see Ferris' best friend, Cameron, come-of-age throughout the course of the movie. At first he was a shy kid who was always stressed out and faked illnesses, but at the end of the movie he realizes that he has to stand up to his dad. He does this by messing up his dad's one-of-a-kind Ferrari. Overall, a great movie!

  1. I like how you gave a summary of the movie first and then went into what you like about it. One criticism I have for your critique is that it might have spoiled the movie a little for those who haven't watched it before.
